William J. Gadbois, age 85 of Lansing, IL, was called from his earthly life on Sunday, February 15, 2026. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Carol, daughter Janice, son Jon, daughter-in-law Brooke, five grandsons, and one great grandson. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, William and Adeline, brother Robert, sister Joyce, brother-in-law Bob, and his beloved first wife, Marilynn.

Bill was a proud veteran of the United States Navy and a retiree from the steel industry. In his younger days he loved to play golf and ballroom dance. He will be missed and today this world is a slightly lesser place without him.

Friends may visit with Bill's family on Monday, February 23, 2026, from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM at the Schroeder-Lauer Funeral Home, 3227 Ridge Rd., Lansing, IL. Bill's funeral service will begin at 11:00 AM in the funeral home chapel with Father Mark Kalema officiating. Bill will be laid to rest in Assumption Cemetery in Glenwood, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Bill's name may be made to the animal shelter or animal rights organization of your choosing.
