William L. Kessler, Jr, (Bill), age 73, loving father of Lori (David Macedon) and Eric (Charlotte) Kessler. Cherished grandfather of Matthew (Kylie) Kessler, Cheyanne (Colin) Huizenga, Brody Macedon and Brett Macedon. Great grandfather of Ethan, Emilia, and Cameron. Dearest brother of Karen and uncle to many nieces and nephews, great uncle to many, and devoted to his beloved dog, Hank.

Bill was known for his crazy stories about his trials and tribulations in life. He really believed you didn't know your limits until you exceeded them. This made for quite a few good stories over the years! Bill was a retired railroad engineer who loved fishing, boating, riding his motorcycle, having a beer or two, and sharing tales with friends and family. In a lot of ways he was larger than life and we are so terribly sad he is gone.

So in Bill's honor, please pay some kindness forward. Buy lunch for someone down on their luck, help out a neighbor, make a toast in his honor, and brighten someone's day.

Family and friends are invited to gather on Thursday Sept. 10th from 3:00 – 7:00 PM at the Schroeder-Lauer Funeral Home, 3227 Ridge Rd., Lansing, IL for a celebration of life ceremony. Masks and hand sanitizer will be available at the funeral home.
