Wanda H. O'Connor-Luxton (nee Miller), age 93 of Hammond, IN, passed away at her home on Sunday, May 17, 2026. She is the mother of seven children: Paul E. O'Connor, Howard L. (Rebecca) O'Connor, Diana S. O'Connor, Alice J. Bonham (nee O'Connor) (deceased), Georgia H. (nee O'Connor) (Terrance) Smith, John E. O'Connor, and Tamara D. (nee Luxton) Bartra. Wanda is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren.

Wanda was preceded in death by her beloved husband, George H. O'Connor, daughter Alice J. O'Connor-Bonham, parents Paul and Alice Miller, brother Melvin Miller, sisters Mary Edwards and Twylla Selmer, and second husband Kenneth Luxton.

Wanda had worked as the Head Housekeeper in the Hospitality industry.

Friends are invited to visit with Wanda's family on Friday, May 22, 2026, from 3:00 – 8:00 PM at the Schroeder-Lauer Funeral Home, 3227 Ridge Rd., Lansing, IL. There will be a short service at 5:00 PM with Pastor Bob Neuman officiating. Wanda will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband George O'Connor on Friday, September 4, 2026 in Oak Ridge Cemetery in Lansing, IL.
