Walter "Wally" White age 83, Beecher Illinois resident, born in Stevenson Alabama and raised in Flat Rock, Alabama, died Sunday, October 9th, 2022. Former Army Veteran, and retired repairman of Ford Motor Company in 1997 after 37 years of service. Cherished husband of 52 years to his "Darlin'" Shirley White (Dunifer). Devoted father to Therrie (Late Tommaso Jr.) Quatrini, and Sean White. He loved spending time with his grandchildren Taylor, Noah, and Drew Quatrini. Remaining sisters; Linda Lewis (Late Ray), Joyce McGee (Ronnie), Sheila York (Glen). Remaining brothers; Bobby White (Ann), Larry White (Robin), Melvin White (Juley). Preceded in death by brothers; Odell White, Jimmy White, and Bernice White Preceded in death by Sisters; Imagene Plank, Geneva White (Phillips) Preceded in death by parents Ray and Hazel White. Many nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends.

Friends may visit with Walter's family on Thursday, October 13, 2022 at the Schroeder-Lauer Funeral Home, 3227 Ridge Road, Lansing, Illinois from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM with services immediately following. Walter will be laid to rest at White Cemetery, Flat Rock, Alabama.

A proud hometown boy, who did not base his happiness around materialistic things. He was a simple but smart man. He is someone you could never doubt had a heart full of love and a mind full of joy. He cheered for The University of Alabama football team and enjoyed his last moments doing exactly that. He spent his last days unknowingly providing his family with final memories that will be cherished forever. He came from a long line of family that loved him dearly for his optimistic, and positive personality. He was a light in the dark, and one place he always shined his light was the Sam club line, calling his "Darlin'" to grab more toilet paper. Because he believed you could never have enough toilet paper. (Along with many other things). He liked going on cruises, traveling, and more, but if he had family, he could enjoy anything. He will be dearly missed and never forgotten.
