Todd Vincent Van Vossen, lovingly known as "Woody" or "Uncle Bean", passed away peacefully on March 6, 2025, surrounded by family. Born in Hammond, IN, Todd later made his home in Lansing, IL. His life was a testament to love, resilience, and community, and he leaves behind a legacy that will cherished by all who knew him.

Todd was beloved husband of Sherri Van Vossen (Wells) with whom he shared 24 wonderful years of marriage. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and memories. He was a devoted father to Michael Van Vossen, Matthew (Rachel) Van Vossen, Robert Wells, Melissa (Chad) Van Vossen, Tiffany (Danny) Fico, and Nicholas Tamraz. As a proud papa, he adored his grandchildren: Caleb, Zachary, Olivia, MaKayla, Zachary, Selena, MaKenzie, Mackenzie, Cayden, Cody, Logan, Riley, and Remington.

Todd also survived by his brothers Calvin Van Vossen (late Annette), Thomas (Jan) Van Vossen and mother-in-law, Michelene Hallman. He was preceded in death by his parents Audrey (Zwiers) and Thomas Van Vossen as well as his brother Leroy (Carol) Van Vossen, and father-in-law Raymond Hallman.

He was also a cherished uncle to Michelle Ross, Missy Olson, Eric (Debbie) Van Vossen, Dana (Brent) Barker, Vincent Van Vossen, Chad (Melissa) Van Vossen, and Shane (Amy) Van Vossen. He was preceded in death by his niece Kacie Van Vossen.

Todd graduated from Thornton Fractional South High School, carrying the lessons of his youth into a life filled with passion and purpose. He recently retired from Sid Kamp Trucking in Mokena, where he was known for his unwavering dedication and hard work.

Todd had a deep affection for his semi-truck and took great care in ensuring it was always in top condition. He found joy in life's simple pleasures—traveling and savoring special moments with loved ones. His weekends were often spent at the race track, working on race cars and enjoying the camaraderie of family and friends. With his warm and outgoing nature, Todd made connections wherever he went; he truly was a friend to all. Above all else, Todd will be remembered as a fighter, a storyteller, and a man who brought light and joy to everyone he met. His legacy of love, strength, and community will live on in the hearts of those who knew him.

A Celebration of Life will be held on March 22, 2025, at Schroeder-Lauer Funeral Home, located at 3327 Ridge Road in Lansing, Illinois. Visitation will take place from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM, followed by a service presided over by Deacon Jim Renwick.

Todd's memory will forever be treasured by all whose lives he touched. In keeping with his wishes, formal attire is not required; please feel free to dress comfortably or wear your favorite NASCAR apparel.
