Thomas J. Kokot, age 70 of Calumet City, IL, passed away on Sunday, June 21, 2026. Tom is survived by his sister, Karlynn Kokot, nephew, Brett Kokot, his beloved dog Zoe, and many cousins and friends. Tom was preceded in death by his parents, Karl and Helen Kokot, and brother, Daniel Kokot.

Friends are invited to visit with Tom's family on Monday, June 29 from 10:00 AM – 12:00 Noon at the Schroeder-Lauer Funeral Home, 3227 Ridge Rd., Lansing, IL. His funeral service will begin at 12:00 Noon in the funeral home chapel with Deacon Jim Renwick officiating. Tom will be laid to rest near his parents in Holy Cross Cemetery in Calumet City, IL.

Tom had worked as a steel worker at the former Inland Steel in East Chicago, IN. He was an avid Blackhawks and Cubs fan, and he enjoyed hunting and fishing.
