Susan C. Scheeringa (nee Newenhouse), age 84 of Lansing, IL, went home to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, May 29, 2025. She is survived by her two daughters: Barb (Gary) Leystra and Linda (Bill) Tkacz; two grandsons: Gregory and Trevor, who were the apples of her eye. Susan was preceded in death by her beloved husband: Walter, in 1999; parents: Chris and Sue (nee Porte) Newenhouse, and brother: Charles and his wife Caroline Newenhouse.

Susan worked as a Teller and also in H.R in banking. She enjoyed sewing, ice cream, 50's music, and the Gaithers. Most important in her life was serving her Lord.

Susan will be cremated and laid to rest at a later date with her husband in Oak Ridge Cemetery in Lansing. Memorial donations may be made in Susan's name to Providence Hospice, 14301 Independence Way #A1, Homer Glen, IL 60491. Her family would like to express their thanks for the care they gave their mom.
