Steven D. Gelatka, 69, of Lansing, IL passed away Wednesday, February 7, 2024. Steve was preceded in death by his parents, Ronald and Joan (nee Canan) Gelatka. Steve leaves behind his loving daughter Nicole (Michael) Slechta, 6 grandsons,  Michael Jr., James, John, Christopher, William and Nicolas His siblings Ronald (Olivia), Michael (Linda), Gina (David) Hilt and numerous nephews and nieces.

Friends and family are welcome to visit from 3:00 to 6:00 pm at the Schroeder-Lauer Funeral Home, 3227 Ridge Rd. Lansing, IL. on Thursday, February 29, 2024. Military Honors Ceremony will take place at 6:00 PM, in the funeral home chapel. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation to the American Cancer Society in Steve's name.
