Sharon C. Rahn (nee Vanderhoek), age 81 of Sister Lakes, MI, passed away on Thursday, October 2, 2025. She is survived by her four children: Jeffery (Dawn) Rahn, Kimberly Stemple, Valerie Voss (Frank), and Amy (Dave) Boshears; 11 grandchildren: Alexandra (Bryan), Eric (Joslyne), Kristina, Danielle, Kaylee, Ryan (Morgan), Juliana, Luke, Jacob (Brittany), Jackson, and Addyson, and five great grandchildren: Anthony, Isaiah, Noah, Brielle, and Sophia. Also surviving is her brother, Gary Vanderhoek, sister, Caroline Carstensen, and sister-in-law, Patricia Vanderhoek.

Sharon was predeceased by her beloved husband of 52 years: Kenneth C. "Smokey" Rahn; parents: John and Christine Vanderhoek; sister, Karen and brother, John, and nephew "little" John.

Friends are invited to visit with Sharon's family on Thursday, October 9 from 3:00 – 8:00 PM at the Schroeder-Lauer Funeral Home, 3227 Ridge Rd., Lansing, IL. Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 10 at 10:00 AM at Faith Church, 8910 Grace St, Highland, IN. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Sharon's name to Northwest Cancer Center's Foundation, 1001 Calumet Ave., Dyer, IN 46311 or NCCFoundationIndiana.com. Sharon will be laid to rest in a private family graveside service in Oak Glen Cemetery in Lansing, IL.

Sharon was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend. She delighted in her role as a grandmother and took great pleasure in caring for the grandkids.
