Sharon Szatkowski (nee Konieczka) age 72, of Crown Point, Indiana passed away on Saturday March 15, 2025. Sharon was born in 1952 to Joe and Helen (nee Szczesna) Konieczka.  Sharon was the youngest of three siblings.  Sister to Joe and Robert. On August 1, 1971 Sharon married Bob Szatkowski and later on had three children.  Laura, Jeff and Jimmy. Sharon was preceded in death by her parents: Joe and Helen (nee Szczesna) Konieczka, and brother Joe konieczka (Becky) and son Jeff Szatkowski. Sharon is survived by her brother Robert Konieczka (Emma), Robert Szatkowski, daughter Laura Cservenyak (Dave), Son Jimmy, grandchildren Katelyn, Cody, Shane, and Joe Victoria.

Sharon worked at South Suburban Hospital for 30+ years, and recently retired. Sharon loved her family and cooking holiday meals. She had a passion for outside gardening and loved planting her flowers. She enjoyed her bird feeders and loved the humming birds.  Sharon also enjoyed watching football on Sundays with family.

Visitation will be held on Monday, March 24, 2025 from 3:00 to 7:00 PM at the Schroeder-Lauer Funeral Home, 3227 Ridge Road, Lansing, Illinois. Funeral services for Sharon will be held Tuesday, March 25, 2025 at 10:00 AM at the funeral home with Deacon Jim Renwick officiating. Sharon will be laid to rest at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery, Calumet City, Illinois. Sharon was loved by many and she will be truly missed. www.schroederlauer.com
