Sandra F. Alwin age 81 of Lansing, Illinois passed away peacefully Saturday, April 15, 2023. She is survived by her long and dear friend Mary Madsen who spent many years gathering beautiful memories together. Sandra was preceded in death by her loving parents Walter and Daisy (nee Williams) Fricke, brother Walter Fricke and long time partner Sharon Jones.

Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday, April 19, 2023 at the Schroeder-Lauer Funeral Home, 3227 Ridge Road, Lansing, Illinois from 4:00 to 7:00 PM. It will be a time to celebrate Sandra's life and keep her spirit alive. Cremation to follow.

Sandra was a beautiful, loving, and caring person. She enjoyed life to the fullest, and she made every minute count. Sandra loved traveling, collecting antiques, chocolate, her adorable dogs and elephants. She was a faithful member of the Eastern Star and the Lady Shriner's where she continued to show her loving and caring spirit to all people. Sharon believed education was important and earned her PHD and worked as a Clinical Therapist where she continued to help and serve others. But the closest thing to her heart was Galveston, Texas. She truly loved that part of the country and was blessed to live there. She was loved by many and she will be truly missed. www.schroederlauer.com
