Roger Donald Collier, age 83 of Lansing passed away on Wednesday, February 2, 2022. He is survived by his daughters: Renee Collier, Jennifer (Joseph) Romano and Gina Collier (Robert Popovic); grandchildren: Nicholas Collier, Shannon York, Zachary Bernier, Amber Van Deusen, Jillian Ver Beek, Alison (Roger) Estabrook, Dakoda Mitchell, Maxwell Mitchell, Cortez Mitchell, Kingston Mitchell; great grandchildren: Isabella Collier, Arianna Ver Beek, Zaiden Ver Beek, Luna Estabrook, and Theodore Estabrook. Roger was preceded in death his parents Dorothy Ann and Cecil Collier, his wife Carol Collier, his daughters Colleen Van Deusen and Wendi Mitchell and his grandson Stephen Collier.

After completing his high school education Roger started his studies at University of Illinois at Navy Pier. After two years of study, he joined the Marine Corps where he was on active duty for eighteen months and then promoted to Right Guide of Platoon 1019. When he completed his service he went on to complete a degree in mechanical engineering at University of Illinois at Champaign Urbana. He was an active member of The First United Methodist Church in Lansing Illinois then later joined The First United Methodist Church in Hammond Indiana. Due to Covid, a celebration of Roger's life will be scheduled at a later date.
