Robert "Bob" Zielinski, age 81 of New Lenox, Illinois passed away peacefully on August 22, 2024. He is survived by his loving sister Barbara (Anthony) Base, loving nieces, Diane (James) Beck, Laura (Edvin) Mertdogan, Michelle (Brian) Berry, and Christine (Jeffrey) Tesar, and eight cherished great nieces and nephews.

Friends may visit with Bob's family on Thursday, August 29, 2024 DIRECTLY at ( All Souls Parish) St Ann Catholic Church, 3010 Ridge Road, Lansing, Illinois from 10:00 to 11:00 AM with a Mass of Christian Burial immediately following with Father Mark Kalema officiating. Bob will be laid to rest at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery, Calumet City, Illinois.

Bob proudly served in the United States Army during the Vietnam war deployed to Korea. Bob worked at several banks and downtown Chicago's Carson Pirie Scott for thirty years. Bob was a wonderful brother, brother-in-law, uncle and friend. He enjoyed spending time with his family, he would never miss a birthday, holiday or any other family get together. He loved animals, especially cats and birds. He was always eager to discuss cars, watch car racing especially Formula 1 and went to the Indianapolis 500 numerous times. He liked country music and watching sports. He also enjoyed vacationing and fishing. He grew up in Hegewisch, was a member of St. Florian's parish for many years and graduated from Bishop Noll High School in 1960.
