Robert M. Jachim, age 76 of Hammond, IN, passed away on Sunday, August 16, 2026. He is survived by his three children: Michelle (David) Willerman, Jeffrey Jachim, and Mark Jachim; and six grandchildren: James, Brianna, and Logan Willerman, Tucker, Lincoln, and Axel Jachim. Robert was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Maryann (nee Blaszczyk) and brother Frank Jachim.

Friends are invited to visit with Robert's family on Friday, August 21 from 9:00 – 12:00 Noon at the Schroeder-Lauer Funeral Home, 3227 Ridge Rd., Lansing, IL. The funeral service will begin at 12:00 Noon in the funeral home chapel with Deacon Jim Renwick officiating. Robert will be laid to rest next to his wife in Holy Cross Cemetery in Calumet City, IL.

Robert had worked in the printing industry. He enjoyed working on cars, gardening, growing tomatoes and making homemade tomato soup and 13 bean soup, and he enjoyed watching TV. But his favorite and most enjoyable time was spent with his family and grandchildren and having family dinners with them.
