Robert "Bob" James Cole, age 67 of Munster, Indiana formerly of Lansing, Illinois passed away January 30, 2024. Bob is survived by his wife Sheri (nee Gorub) Cole, son Robby (Randy) Cole. Loving grandfather of Alaunah and Christian. Bob was preceded in death by his loving parents James and Elizabeth (nee McCloskey) Cole. A private memorial service for Bob will be held at a later date.

Bob earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology and Government and a Juris Doctorate from Valparaiso University. Bob worked for the Lansing Police Department as an officer and Legal Affairs Commander. He also was the Vice President for General Counsel Sportmart and GO Parking. Bob was the owner of Schroeder-Lauer Funeral Home in Lansing since 1999. Bob had a loving and caring heart and was always active in the community trying to make it a better place to live and work.

Bob was a loving and caring husband, father, grandfather, son and friend. He always gave a helping hand in the community when needed. He loved his dogs, Mae West, he was a cigar connoisseur, he enjoyed his antique gun collection, but most importantly he loved traveling the world with his wife and son.
