Rita R. Dorabialski (nee Szalbierz) age 89, of Paw Paw, MI, formerly of Calumet City, Illinois passed away Monday, August 12, 2019. Rita is survived by her loving children Lynn Dorabialski, Sharon (Frank) Ferro, and Ken (Sue) Dorabialski. Cherished grandmother of Dan (Jess) Ferro, David (Amber) Ferro, Stefanee (Michael) Tilmon. Matthew Dorabialski and Leann Dorabialski, great grandmother of Ella Ferro, and fond sister of Leonard (Rose Marie) Szalbierz, and loving aunt to many nieces and nephews. Rita was preceded in death by her beloved husband Anthony Dorabialski, parents Michael and Frances Szalbierz, three brothers and five sisters.

Friends may visit with the family on Friday, August 16, 2019 from 9:00 to 11:30 AM at the Schroeder-Lauer Funeral Home, 3227 Ridge Road, Lansing, Illinois. Closing prayers will begin  promptly at 11:30 AM, then proceeding to Our Lady of Knock Church, 501 163 ^rd Street, Calumet City, Illinois for a 12:00 Noon Mass of Christian Burial. Rita will be laid to rest at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery, Calumet City, Illinois.

Rita was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and aunt. She enjoyed spending time with her family and her grandchildren. She was a wonderful baker and cook. Everyone could not wait until she baked her famous Apple Pies and made her homemade Polish Sausage. She loved the Christmas Season and she was second to none when  it came to decorating for the holiday season. She truly got you into the spirit of Christmas when you went over to visit her. She touched many lives over the years, Rita was loved by many and she will be truly missed. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Rita's name to the Hospice Care Of Southwest Michigan, 222 N.
