Richard Michael Quinn, age 79 and a resident of Lansing Illinois, passed away peacefully after a very long illness on Saturday, October 26, at Ignite Medical Facility in Dyer Indiana. He is survived by his beloved wife, Lana (nee DeMarte) of 41 years, and loving cousins.  He is preceded in death by his parents, Frances and John Quinn, and his brother David.

Richard was a 1963 graduate of Thornton Fractional North High School.  He was also a graduate of Purdue University with 2 degrees in Electrical Engineering.  He worked for many years as a successful engineer; and, in 2000, he opened up his own engineering business, Shamrock Systems.  Rich was an accomplished trader in stocks, and consistently generated significant profits through buying and selling stocks. Richard was loved by many and he will be truly missed.

Services for Richard will be private. Schroeder-Lauer Funeral Home has been entrusted with the care and arrangements for Mr. Quinn.
