Richard Gleim age 71, of Calumet City IL passed away on September 24th 2021. Richard was born in Chicago Heights IL in 1950. He was a T.F. South graduate. Retired from Acme Steel after thirty years of service. Richard was an Elder and played chimes at St John's Lutheran Church in Lansing IL. Richard loved God with all his heart. He loved reading God's word and singing praises to God. Richard loved playing dart ball. He was an animal lover and loved his dog, Bud. He loved the Cubs and Bears. He was preceded in death by his parents Conrad and Dorothy Gleim, his brother Jim Gleim and wife Cindy (Laird) Gleim.

He is survived by son Jason Gleim, grandson Erik Gleim, sister Sharon (Gleim) James, nephews Jerry and Dan (Lynn) James, nieces Michelle (Tim) Zoeteman, and Susan (Robert) Munsie. A Celebration Of Life for Richard will be held at a later date. Richard was loved by many and he will be truly missed. Schroeder-Lauer Funeral Home is entrusted with Richard's care.
