Ray
Paramo
Sep 11, 1960 — Jun 16, 2021
Lansing
It is with a heavy heart we announce on Wednesday, June 16, 2021, Ray Paramo, the loving "Mayor", son, father, grandfather, uncle and "Person" passed away at the young age of 60. Ray is survived by his two children; Elisa Maria Paramo and Ian Michael Paramo, his "Person" Dena, grandson Bryce, sister Theresa "Titi" Paramo, two nieces Gabriela Vasquez and Cecilia Avros, Great Nieces and Nephews, father Rafael B. Paramo. He is now reunited in Heaven with his loving mother Sylvia (Juarez) Paramo.
Ray was known as a hard working Maintenance Mechanic who could repair anything. Beyond that, he was known for his infectious smile and laugh, charismatic personality, "Cutting a Rug" on the dance floor and for being the "Mayor" because he knew everyone. You could never go somewhere, even on vacation in Florida without him knowing someone! He was blessed with his ability to spread laughter to those he loved and kept close. He played silly games like Applehead with his children that spread laughter throughout their home. He was an avid bowler and his biggest accomplishments were winning a 300 and 800 rings. Ray was a one in a million guy who would do anything to help anyone. He was a friend to so many and his warm hugs made everything better. We will miss him dearly.
A Celebration of Ray's life will be held at Schroeder-Lauer Funeral Home, 3227 Ridge Road in Lansing, Illinois, on Friday July 2, 2021 with visitation from 4:00 PM till 9:00 PM with a service from Deacon Jim Renwick at 8:00 PM.
