Ramon Gallegos, age 68, of Cedar Lake, IN passed away peacefully on December 27, 2024. He is survived by his loving wife Melinda Gallegos (nee Troncozo); devoted sons and their spouses, Dominick Gallegos and Gaby Gomez, Vincent and Nicole Gallegos, Martin and Berta Gallegos, and Anthony Gallegos and Krystal Butala; niece Nenah Troncozo; Jessica and Troy Kress; many grandchildren; mother Teresa Gallegos and many siblings.

Ramon was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He was very hard working, often holding two jobs, most notably as a pizza chef. He always made time to spend with his children and grandchildren, even after a hard days work. Many know Ramon for his hard work, softspoken-ness, unique humor (maybe that's where we get our wit), and his loving nature. He was also a huge Cubs fan, coin collector, and shoe collector (even if he didn't wear them). His love and friendship will forever reside in our hearts and will be missed grandly.

A celebration of life for Ramon will be held on Thursday, January 9, 2025, at the Schroeder-Lauer Funeral Home, 3227 Ridge Rd., Lansing, IL Friends are invited to visit with the family from 3:00 to 7:00 PM. www.schroederlauer.com
