Peter Dennis Zenos died peacefully at home on February 5, 2023.  He was born October 4, 1949 in Hammond, IN. Peter is survived by his children: Jennifer, Thomas (Kaytee), and Shannon Zenos; two grandchildren: Audrey and Lincoln; sister Kathy Zenos of Athens, Greece.

Peter graduated from Hammond High School. After graduation he received 3 degrees: Bachelor degree from Northern Illinois University, Law degree from St. Louis University, and Master's degree from Chicago State University. He worked for United Consumers Club for 20+ years and finished his career teaching high school history and political science for the Chicago Public Schools.

Family was everything to him. He was grateful that his family lived close by and that he could be part of his grandchildren's lives. He valued education and was proud that his children all graduated college. His hobbies included reading, music, concerts, the theater, participating in fantasy football/baseball, and experiencing new restaurants.

Visitation will be Thursday, February 9th, 2023 from 10:00am - 11:00am followed by a Funeral Service at 11:00 am at Schroeder-Lauer Funeral Home, 3227 Ridge Rd, Lansing, IL 60438. Peter will be laid to rest at Elmwood Cemetery in Hammond (1413 169th St. Hammond, IN 46324).
