P aul C. Toms, age 74, resident of Lansing, Illinois passed away peacefully on August 23, at Community Hospital, Munster, Indiana. He is survived by his brother David (Pamela) Toms, three beloved nieces, Courtney (Mark) Morgan, Ashley Toms, Taylor (Karl Boubouleix) Toms, great niece Penelope Toms Morgan and great nephew Theodore William Morgan, and many cousins and friends whom he dearly loved. Paul was preceded in death by his parents Clement and Peggy Toms.

P aul could be seen riding his bike around Lansing, stopping to visit along his ride with many acquaintances. Paul enjoyed all the advantages of being a senior citizen. Long time member of the American Legion Edward Schultz Post 697 in Lansing. Enjoyed working on his models, painting, and listening to his record collection. Paul was a lifelong Chicago C ub and  Blackhawk fan. Paul was a proud Veteran having served in the U.S. Navy and the U.S. Army. His proudest moment came when he was able to participate in the Veterans Honor Flight to Washington D.C., Paul was a loving open spirit who loved to talk to everyone, who loved his brother and nieces and whose  absence will  truly leave a void in our lives. Schroeder-Lauer Funeral has been entrusted with Paul's care and arrangements. Funeral services and burial for Paul will be scheduled at a later date.
