Oscar Ray Anderson, age 88 of Highland, IN, passed away on Monday, April 25, 2022. He is survived by his beloved wife of 43 years: Marlene (nee Wetzel); daughter: Gerri (Jeffrey) Kling of Milwaukee, WI; son: Robert (Anne) Anderson of Lansing, IL; two stepdaughters: Laura (late Michael) Welch and Lana Miller; and daughter-in-law: Linda (late Roger) Anderson. Also surviving are 13 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Oscar was preceded in death by his first wife: LouAnn; son: Roger Anderson; brothers: Lawrence and Eldon; and two sisters: Yvonne and Helene.

Ray honorably served our country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He retired from Stauffer Chemical in Chicago Heights where he was an electrical engineer. His family said he was a handyman who could fix anything.

Friends are invited to visit with Ray's family on Friday, May 20, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Schroeder-Lauer Funeral Home 3227 Ridge Rd., Lansing, IL.  Following the visitation, Ray will be laid to rest in Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, IL.
