Oriana Jade Castaneda went to be with the Lord on September  30, 2026.

Oriana is the precious daughter to Kate and Ricardo Castaneda; beloved sister to Esmeralda Castaneda; cherished granddaughter John and Mary Ann Martin, Sergio and Sylvia Hernandez and Ricardo Realmo; great-granddaughter to Margaret Malinowski, Natalia Castaneda, Juan Jose and Elizabeth Veloz; precious niece to Johnathan (Catherine) Martin, Sean Martin, Ricardo (Brianna) Realmo Jr., Santiago (Jenna) Realmo, Evelyn (Jaime Guillen) Hernandez, Jacqueline Realmo, Vanessa Hernandez, Melissa Hernandez, Michael Realmo and Nicholas Realmo;  cousin to many other loved ones. 

The family would like to thank the University of Chicago Comer's Children's Hospital of Hyde Park for all their compassionate care.  They would also like to extend their appreciation to all their family and friends for all their love and support. 

Visitation will be Friday, November 6, 2026 from 2:00-6:00 pm at Schroeder-Lauer Funeral Home.
