Michael P. Sissel, age 78 of Lansing, IL, passed away at home with his wife by his side on Tuesday, November 11, 2025. He is survived by his wife, Mary (nee Bengtson) Sissel; daughter, Rachel Margaret Sissel, son-in-law, Stevie Primozic; grandchildren: Isaac Michael, Ernie Francesco, and Lucia Rudolph; and sister, Sharon (Ron) Mrencso.

Michael was preceded in death by his son, Michael (Mikey) Eric Sissel, and parents, Margaret Fern and Michael Peter Sissel.

Friends are invited to visit with Michael's family on Tuesday, November 18 from 2:00 – 6:00 PM at the Schroeder-Lauer Funeral Home, 3227 Ridge Rd., Lansing, IL. The funeral service for Michael will be held in the funeral home chapel at 6:00 PM on November 18 with Pastor Bob Neuman officiating.

Michael honorable served our country in the U.S. Army as an air traffic controller. He worked as a pipefitter for 30 years.
