It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Michael Schoettle, who departed this life on August 17, 2024 at the age of 34. He was a beloved son, brother, cousin, uncle, grandson, nephew and friend, and his presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Michael Schoettle was born on February 15th, 1990 in Charleston, SC to Jeff Schoettle and Amy Plank-Coffey. He grew up in Lansing, IL, where he attended St. Ann's, graduated in Gulf Breeze, FL from Gulf Breeze High School in 2008, and then went on to graduate from Governors State University with a B.A. in Business Administration and Management to pursue a career in Production Management. Michael was known for his quick wit, sense of humor, and his willingness to help anyone he could.

He is survived by Jeff Schoettle (Helyn Huffman), Amy Plank-Coffey (Tim Coffey), Brooke Randall (Phillip Randall) and Mark Schoettle (Korrine Schoettle), his nephew Evan Randall and many other relatives and friends who will cherish his memory.

A Celebration of Life will be held on August 29th, 2024 from 4 - 8pm at Fox Pointe (18138 Henry St., Lansing, IL 60438.) Friends and family are invited to gather to celebrate Michael Schoettle's life and legacy.
