Michael E. Cyrnek, age 66 of Lansing, IL, passed away on Saturday, February 16, 2019. He is survived by his four sisters: Geri (John) Palanchar, Dolly Biniecki, Linda (Mike) Reinhardt, and Mary Ann (late Ron) Senchak; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. Michael was preceded in death by his parents: Eugene and Lucille Cyrnek.

Friends are invited to meet with Michael's family on Sunday, February 24 from 3:00 – 7:00 PM at the Schroeder-Lauer Funeral Home, 3227 Ridge Rd., Lansing, IL. There will also be a short visitation on Monday, February 25 from 10:00 – 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Knock Catholic Church, 501 163 ^rd St., Calumet City, IL. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 AM at the church. Michael will be laid to rest next to his parents in Holy Cross Cemetery in Calumet City, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Michael's name to the Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.

Michael was proud to be the Cross Bearer at the 5:30 Mass at Our Lady of Knock. He held a variety of different jobs at Sterks, LARC in Lansing, ECHO, and Olive Garden. Michael also swam for and won several medals for the Special Olympics. He very much enjoyed helping out his neighbors by mowing their lawn or shoveling their snow. Michael was a much loved brother and uncle.
