We are sad to announce the passing of Mary Ann Bielawski, 85, of Lansing, IL. on June 14, 2022. She is survived by two of her three loving sons Harry Bielawski Jr. of Saint John, IN (Elizabeth) and Lee Bielawski of Itasca, IL (SO Heather); three dear grandchildren Brian (Michelle) Bielawski of Munster, IN, Alex Bielawski of Chicago, and Jackson Bielawski of Itasca; two surviving siblings Joseph Gaik (late Arlene) and Annie (late Robert); and many nieces and nephews. Mary Ann was preceded in death by her husband Harry E. Bielawski, who died 1971 in the line of duty as a Chicago firefighter: her middle child Timothy who died in 1994; and seven siblings Laura (Martin), Frank (Mary), Tony (Lorraine), John Jr., Laura, Michael, and Theodore.

Throughout her life Mary Ann made the best of all circumstances handed to her and persevered. All who knew her will remember her colorful expression that could be counted on to liven up any situation.

Friends may visit with the family on Friday, July 1, 2022 at St. Ann Catholic Church, 3010 Ridge Road, Lansing, Illinois from 9:00 to 11:00 AM, with a Mass of Christian Burial immediately following. Mary Ann will be laid to rest at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery, Calumet City, Illinois. Mary Ann was loved by many and she will be truly missed. Schroeder-Lauer Funeral Home has been entrusted with Mary Ann's care.
