Martha Ann Schmueser (nee Krygiel), age 87 of Lansing, IL, passed away on Tuesday, June 25, 2024. She is survived by her beloved husband of 52 years: James Schmueser; grandchildren: Jessica (Nicholas) Blanton and Amanda Neupert; great grandchildren: CJ Copeland, Ethan Copeland, Cullen Blanton, and Lee Leiber; and sisters: Maxine (nee Krygiel) Nowobilski, Marie (nee Krygiel) Dillon and loving nephew Adam Karl Purdy. Martha was preceded in death by her son: Michael Cob; parents: Joseph and Catherine Krygiel; and brother-in-law: Frank Nowobilski.

Friends are invited to visit with Martha's family on Tuesday, July 2, 2024 from 3:00 – 7:00 PM at the Schroeder-Lauer Funeral Home, 3227 Ridge Rd., Lansing, IL. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 3 at 11:30 AM in the funeral home chapel with Fr. Francisco Luna officiating. Martha will be laid to rest in Holy Cross Cemetery.

Born in Madison, IL, Martha moved to Lansing in 1954. She had worked as the secretary to the works auditor for American Steel. She was a beloved wife, grandmother, and great grandmother.
