Marilyn Lillian Reppa, née Mazur, of Lansing, IL, passed away peacefully on January 5, 2025. She is survived by her loving son Michael Reppa of Lansing, IL, daughter Marilyn Moore of Elmwood Park, IL, son Vernon (late Jackie) Reppa of Lowell, IN, and son Robert (Mona) Reppa of Florida,nine grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, brother James Mazur of Cedar Lake, IN, sisters Judith Kosiba and Elizabeth Stachura of Lowell, IN, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Vernon Reppa, her son John Reppa, her daughter Nancy (Michael) Reaney, and her parents Stanley and Lillian Mazur.

Marilyn will be remembered fondly as a family matriarch. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and aunt who hosted large family gatherings well into her 80s. She was a lifelong Roman Catholic and a longtime parishioner of St. Ann's Church, now All Souls Parish. And she was as an accomplished gardener. She was dutiful in her cultivation, designing gardens that became home to monarch butterflies, blue jays, honeybees, and even the occasional outdoor cat. She had a natural tenderness in the garden and was always happy to sit outside on a beautiful day. She happily shared her green thumb over the years with many people, planting gardens at St. Ann's Church and for many local friends, family members, and businesses.

A visitation for Marilyn will be held on Sunday, January 12, 2025 from 3:00 to 7:00 PM at Schroeder Lauer Funeral Home, 3227 Ridge Road, Lansing, IL. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, January 13, 2025 at 10:00 AM DIRECTLY at (All Souls Catholic Parish) St. Ann's Catholic Church, 3010 Ridge Road, Lansing, IL. Marilyn will be laid to rest at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery, Calumet City, Illinois. Marilyn was loved by many and she will be truly missed. www.schroederlauer.com
