Marie "Bonnie" Rose Toth nee Bracha of Lansing, Illinois transitioned to be with our Lord on Friday, May 16, 2025.  She was born on March 9, 1941 in Chicago, Illinois to Stanley Bracha and Bessie Bracha nee Mrkacek.  Marie was known by friends and family as Bonnie, attended Eastern Illinois University, receiving her undergraduate degree in Education. She held several teaching positions in the south suburbs, and spent her last 20 years in education teaching Math at Marian Catholic High School in Chicago Heights. Bonnie was passionate about math and helping others.

Bonnie married her husband, Steven Allen Toth, Sr. on June 13, 1964 in Chicago, Illinois.  Soon thereafter, they settled in Lansing, Illinois where they had three children. Bonnie was a Girl Scout Cookie Mom, Little League team mom and active in both St. Ann's and St. John's Catholic parishes.

Bonnie was passionate about books and puzzles and an excellent baker and gardener. She was an avid sewer and created many quilts for friends and family, she attended the Quilters Plus Quilters Guild, where she managed their holiday boutique for several years. Most importantly, Bonnie was the best mother and grandmother any family could have. She shared her enjoyment of sewing and baking with her grandkids and was excited to spend time with them swimming, eating popsicles and going to their sporting events.

Bonnie is proceeded in death by her husband, Steven Allen Toth, Sr. and survived by her children: Beth Bugg (Edward), Steven Allen Toth Jr. (Amy) and Susan Fennelly; her nine grandchildren: Erin Fennelly, Savannah Toth, Colin Fennelly, Reagan Fennelly, Steven Toth III, Elizabeth Bugg, Shawn Toth, Kendall Bugg and Drew Bugg; her beloved dog, Goldie; her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, John and Kathy Toth; her sister and brother-in-law, Shirley and Michael Davis; and cousin, John Bracha.

A celebration of life will take place on Sunday, May 25, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Schroeder Lauer Funeral Home, located at 3227 Ridge Road, Lansing, Illinois 60438.
