Marie Dolores (Bean Bag) Ambuehl (nee McFadden), age 95, passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side on Tuesday, May 20, 2025. Marie was born on September 19, 1929, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Marie was married on February 12, 1955 to her beloved Donald Ambuehl. They were married 55 years and together they raised their five children in Lansing, Illinois.

Marie's family was her life. Always present and involved with all her children's sports and activities. She loved playing games, sewing their clothes, and cooking holiday feasts.

Marie was loved by all. She touched so many lives. Her laughter was contagious. She loved her bowling leagues, bunco clubs, pinnacle nights with friends, her country music, shopping, traveling, dancing with Donald on the weekend and the casinos.

Marie was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Richard Ambuehl and son, Donald (Sally) Ambuehl, Jr. She is survived by her children; Anne (Garry) Brumm, Linda (Victor) Martinez, Louie (Lori) Ambuehl and Gidget (Richard) Ambuehl-Armstrong; grandchildren, Joshua (Tissha) Brumm, Keaton (Wade) Burk, Jordan (Monica Spitale) Brumm, Zacharay (Brooke) Brumm, Matthew (Mary) Ambuehl, Christopher (Stephanie) Martinez, Kyle (Dana) Martinez, Travis (Felicia) Ambuehl, Taylor Ambuehl, Trent (Kaylee) Ambuehl, Ellie Boston, Ian Boston and many many great and great great-grandchildren.

Marie will be greatly missed by her family and friends and will "Still Be Kickin" until we meet again. We love you, Mom.

Friends are invited to visit with Marie's family on Wednesday, May 28 from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Schroeder-Lauer Funeral Home, 3227 Ridge Rd., Lansing, IL. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:00 pm at All Souls Catholic Parish at St Ann Church, 3010 Ridge Rd., Lansing, IL.
