Margery Perrott, 83, of Munster, Indiana, and formerly of Lansing, Illinois, passed away peacefully in hospice care the morning of July 4, 2024. Margery is survived by her husband of 63 years, Richard Perrott; two sons Michael Perrott and wife Julie; Daniel Perrott and wife Donna; grandchildren Sarah (Perrott) Hilmer and husband Ben, Joseph Perrott and wife Megan, Zachary Perrott and wife Courtney, Emily Perrott and fiancé Anthony Stein-Rojas, Graham Perrott, Brennan Perrott; four great-grandchildren Annie Hilmer, Julia Hilmer, Maddy Perrott, Jackson Perrott; one brother John Kortenhoven and sister-in-law Marilyn. Margery was preceded in death by her parents, John and Anna Kortenhoven, sister Donna (Kortenhoven) Nelson and brother-in-law Ralph.

Funeral Services for Margery will be held on Thursday, July 11, 2024 at 1:00pm at Schoeder Lauer Funeral Home,3227 Ridge Road in Lansing, Illinois. Internment will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Lansing, Illinois. Friends are invited to visit with the family on Thursday from 11:00am to 1:00pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Margery Perrott's name to First Church (PCA), 3134 Ridge Road, Lansing, Illinois 60438.

Margery received a nursing degree from the James Ward Thorne School of Nursing, Northwestern University and an advanced nursing degree from St. Francis University, Joliet. She worked as a nurse in several capacities during her career, including surgical nursing roles at St. Margaret's, Hammond, and Munster Community. She spent a good part of her career as a valued member of the cardiac team. Besides working in several private medical practices, Margery was also the Director of Nursing for the Holland Home, South Holland.

Outside of work Margery was an avid seamstress and quilter. For a number of years, she maintained a sewing and long arm quilting business from her home sewing studio, and created many quilts for her clients and family. Margery was a creative; besides sewing, she oil painted and dabbled with music. She was a lifelong active member of the First Reformed Church of Lansing (now First Church, PCA). Margery was a loving and devoted daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, sister, and follower of Jesus. Her kind, smart, loving demeanor will be sorely missed.
