Lois J. Lute (nee Wise) age 87 of Lansing, Illinois passed away Tuesday, August 13, 2019.  She is survived by her two loving sons; Larry (Marta "Tita") Lute and Len Lute. Cherished grandmother of; Valerie (Jeffery) Getts, Kyle (Chrystal) Lute, Alex Lute and great grandmother of; Kelsie Getts. Fond sister of; Phyllis (Chuck) Eddins, Jan Wise, Lieutenant Colonel Mary Wise, Martha (late Luke) Carrabine, Sarah (late Theodore) Misdom, David (Michelle) Wise, Kate (Jack) O'Connor, Betty (late Jim) Salaza and many nieces and nephews. Lois was preceded in death by her beloved husband Leonard Lute, parents Herschel and Arnita Wise, and siblings; Janet (late Charlie) Schneider, Vic (Carla) Wise, and nephew Jack O'Connor, and cherished grandson Jeffrey Lute.

Friends may visit with the family on Thursday, August 22, 2019 at the Schroeder-Lauer Funeral Home, 3227 Ridge Road, Lansing, Illinois from 3:00 to 7:00 PM. Funeral services for Lois will be held on Friday, August 23, 2019 at 11:00 AM at St, John Lutheran Church, 18100 Wentworth Ave., Lansing Illinois with Rev. Dr. John Richy officiating. Friends may gather at the church from 10:00 AM until time of service. Lois will be laid to rest at Oak Glen Cemetery, Lansing, Illinois.

Lois was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She enjoyed living in Florida for 16 years where she made many friends. She enjoyed spending time with her family and her grandchildren; she had a great passion for cooking, baking and enjoyed being outside enjoying the beautiful weather. Lois was the own of Lois' Lunch located in Lansing, IL, next to the old Lans Theater. She enjoyed serving and building friendship there. She was loved by many and she will be dearly missed.
