Lois E. Baldeshwiler (nee Blanchette), age 87, of Lansing, Illinois, passed away on Monday, April 4, 2022 after a short illness. Lois is survived by her beloved husband Martin of 68 years; her loving children, Michael, Donna (Gary), David, and Anne (Christopher); brothers Paul, Robert (Renee), James (Pam), sister Judie and sister-in-law Sue; also many nieces, nephews and five grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lester and Sylvia Blanchette, brothers William, Eugene and Thomas, sons James and Robert.

Along with being a homemaker for many years, Lois also worked at St. Margaret's Hospital in Hammond, Indiana; also at St. Ann's School as a teacher's helper and later in the School office. She enjoyed travel and camping, especially when it meant spending time with her family. She also enjoyed watching the birds and squirrels in her back yard, cats, dogs, gardening, mysteries and puzzles. Lois leaves us with many memories of love, comfort, generosity and laughter to keep in our hearts until the time when we see her again.

Lois has been entrusted to the care of Schroeder-Lauer Funeral Home, 3227 Ridge Road, Lansing, Illinois, where services to celebrate her life will be held on Saturday, April 30, 2022. A Celebration of Life will be held from 1:00 to 4:00 pm with a service immediately following, with Deacon Jim Renwick officiating. Lois was loved by many and she will be truly missed.
