Linda J. James, Age 74 of Lansing IL passed away on June 1, 2022 in Munster Community Hospital. Linda was born on August 1st 1947 in Chicago IL. Linda was a resident of Lansing, Il for 50 years. Linda is survived by her loving grandson Daniel T. James (DJ). Her Loving siblings Pam Pries, Debbie Harvey, Ken Carpenter, Patty Lau and Paula Dobrowolski and Her loving Fiancee John LeGrand. She is also survived by her loving, and loyal dog Rocky. She is preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth Carpenter and Margaret Carpenter, loving husband James R James, and loving son Daniel J. James.

Friends may visit with the family on Thursday, June 9, 2022 at the Schroeder-Lauer Funeral Home, 3227 Ridge, Lansing, Illinois from 10:00 AM to 12 Noon with services immediately following, with Deacon Jim Renwick officiating. Linda will be laid to rest at Assumption Cemetery, Glenwood, Illinois.

Linda was a strong woman who would always overcome any hardships that came her way. She loved to travel and would try to see as much of the world as possible. She was also an animal lover, she had a furry companion with her wherever she would go. Her love of flowers drew her to be a florist in the early years of her career until she became a very reputable real estate agent in Lansing. After she retired she built a vacation home in Monticello IN with her husband where they would always spend the summers. For the last 15 years of her life she took care of her grandson DJ, who she referred to as her "Darling." She also got engaged to her "Honey" John. She spent her last years happy and doing what she loved, traveling to Iowa to hotels on the water and playing in their casinos. Her family meant everything to her and we will never forget her. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to DJ college fund, as it was one of her main goals for him. Linda was loved by many and she will be truly missed.
