Leona Kats (nee Vander Woude) age 94, of Lansing, Illinois went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, June 15, 2024. Leona was preceded in death by her loving husband Conrad and siblings Herman, Clarence, Lucas, James and Irene. Loving mother of John (Bonnie) and cherished grandmother of Gregory and Trina and loving aunt to many nieces and nephews.

Leona worked as a manager in the food service industry for over 50 years where she cherished the friendships she made along the way. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother aunt and friend. She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She was loved by many and she will be truly missed. Services for Leona will be private. Leona will be laid to rest at Skyline memorial Park Cemetery in Monee, Illinois next to her cherished husband Conrad.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to First Church (PCA) of Lansing, Illinois 60438. Schroeder-Lauer Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements and care of Mrs. Kats.
