Julia (Mott) Kerr, age 90, took her journey home on Dec. 13th, 2023 at 12:10 AM. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 55 years George R. Kerr. She is survived by her two children: Nick (Joan Doyle) of Lansing, IL and Susanne (Robert Duncan) of Noblesville, IN; two grandsons: Nicholas (Jenniffer Miotk) Kerr and Luke Gilbert, as well as four great grandchildren: Isaiah and Rylynn Gilbert, and Nathan and Nolan Kerr. Julia is also survived by her sister Joanie Hancock (Joe Hancock). She was preceded in death by her sisters Jeanie (Ron) Butterworth, and Susanna (Norm) Marley.

Visitation for Julia will be held on Tuesday, December 19th, 2023 from 3:00 PM-8:00 PM at the Schroeder- Lauer Funeral Home: 3227 Ridge Road Lansing, IL. There will be a short Eastern Star service beignning at 7:00 PM in the fueral home chapel. Funeral Services for Julia will be held on Wednesday, December 20th, 2023 with funeral services beginning at 11:00 AM at the funeral home with Pastor G. Morris K Jarkloh, jr. officiating. Julia will then be laid to rest at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens in Schererville, Indiana.

Julia was a successful nurse for 40 years at Our Lady of Mercy Hospital in Dyer, Indiana while finishing her career at Ingalls Hospital in Harvey, Illinois. She was a proud member of the Arcadia Lodge #738. She was a member of the Arcadia Order of the Eastern Star and held various local and state positions.
