Joseph R. Tevenal, age 74 of Lansing, IL, passed away on Monday, March 20, 2023. He is survived by his beloved wife of nearly 54 years: Carmen L. (nee Rivera) Tevenal. They were married on May 31, 1969. Also surviving are his two daughters: Theresa A. Tevenal and Lisa M. Heemstra; granddaughter: Isabella M. Heemstra; and two brothers: Ray (Elma) Tevenal and Louis (Ernesta) Tevenal. Joseph was preceded in death by his parents: Antonio and Anna M. (nee Acevedo-Crespo)Tevenal-Talavera; and sister: Anna Lydia Santana.

Friends are invited to visit with Joseph's family on Saturday, March 25 from 2:00 – 7:00 PM at the Schroeder-Lauer Funeral Home, 3227 Ridge Rd., Lansing, IL. The funeral service will be at 7:00 PM in the funeral home chapel.

Joseph was a mail carrier in Glenwood and Homewood, IL for many years. He collected stamps and coins. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother and will be missed by all who knew him.
