John H. Clements, age 95 of Calumet City, IL, went home to his Lord and Savior on Monday, February 26, 2024. He is survived by his son-in-law: James Jones; grandchildren: Jamie (Paul) Collins and Lauren Jones; great grandchildren: Anthony, Phoenix, Alli, Abbey, and Jessie; and several nieces and a nephew. John was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 71 years, Dorothy and their two children: Gregg Clements and Laura Jones; and his sister, Patricia Esposito.

Friends are invited to visit with John's family on Friday, March 1, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 Noon at the Schroeder-Lauer Funeral Home, 3227 Ridge Rd., Lansing, IL. The funeral service will begin at 11:45 AM in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be private.

John honorably served our country during WWII in the U.S. Marine Corps. He was a member of the 1st Presbyterian Church in Calumet City where he sang in the church choir. He retired from Continental Midland Inc., and was co-founder of the Calumet City Civic League. John was an avid golfer and bowler. He enjoyed feeding the squirrels and birds at his home, and loved sneaking food to his granddog, Thor. He is generous to a fault. John adored his grandchildren and great grandchildren and he will be missed. He is now home with his beloved wife Dorothy and his children.
