Joanne Barbara Schaub, age 80 of Lansing, IL, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on Wednesday, February 1, 2023. She is survived by her loving mother, Vera (nee Sass) Schmidt, her children: Sheryle (Edward) Bozich, David (Susan) Schaub, Susan (William) Overton and Deanna (Joe) Zivkovic; Grandchildren: Joseph Bozich, Trevor (Elise) Bozich, Daniel (Hannah) Schaub, Nicholas (Shelby) Bozich, Natalie (Eliot) Slavik, Rebecca Schaub, Anna Overton, Tatiana Zivkovic, Gabriella Zivkovic, Luka Zivkovic, Nathan (Trina) Young, Michael Young and Luke Young; Great- grandchildren, Maddi Kasper, Alice Bozich, Joanna Bozich, Peter Bozich, Emma Bozich, Walker Young and Warren Schaub; her two brother in-laws: Melvin Schaub and Arthur Cain and sister in-law Eileen Jernberg: Joanne was preceded in death by her loving husband Edward Schaub, daughter Amy Schaub, father Joseph Homans, sister Rita Cain and brother William Homans.

Joanne worked for Theater Time Video and the Smoke Shop as a sales associate, but the job she took the most pride in was being a homemaker, welcoming everyone into her home with love. She was a devoted member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Lansing for 63 years.

Visitation for Joanne will be held on Tuesday, February 7, 2023 from 3:00 to 7:00 PM at the Schroeder-Lauer Funeral Home, 3227 Ridge Rd., Lansing, IL. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 8, 2023 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 2505 Indiana Ave, Lansing, IL. with Pastor John Holyer officiating. Friends are invited to visit with the family from 9:00 AM until time of service at 10:00 AM. Joanne will be laid to rest at Elmwood Cemetery, Hammond, IN.
