Jeffery Louis Adams, 59, formerly of Lynwood, Illinois passed away Wednesday, November 19th, 2025 in Cedar Lake Indiana. Jeff was born in Norwalk, California on March 22nd, 1966. His family lived all over the country before settling in Lynwood, IL in 1979. A student at Bloom Trail High School, he was a proud Blazer with accolades from his years in football and wrestling. Jeff was a police officer for the Olympia Fields Police Department, and a career long haul truck driver until he passed.

Jeff was an avid music lover and had an impressive roster of shows under his belt. He adored classic rock and 90s grunge. Some of his favorite artists were Led Zeppelin, Van Halen, AC/DC, Black Sabbath, Stone Temple Pilots, and Pearl Jam.

He is survived by his mother Sue Adams, daughter Taylor Adams (Ryley Buchanan), brother Randy Adams (Julie Adams), his niece Jocelyn Adams and nephews, Ryan Adams and Shane Adams, and his dog children Halie and Thor.

He is preceded in death by his father Claude Julian Adams, his grandmothers Barbara Cotton and Julia Kiper Adams, grandfather Claude Louis Adams, and beloved dogs Brutus, Purdita, Chloe, Willie, and Loretta.

Friends are invited to visit with Jeffery's family from 3pm-8pm on Tuesday, November 25th at Schroeder-Lauer Funeral Home, 3227 Ridge Rd., Lansing, IL.

While our hearts are heavy, we take comfort in knowing he is no longer suffering and fighting the demons that plagued him. The memories we have will remain in our lives forever. Our family thanks everyone for their love and support during this difficult time.
