Obituary

Jarrett Kivo, age 25, of Hobart, IN passed away January 23, 2023. He is preceded in death by his brother, Brian Kivo and father, Richard Kivo. He is survived by his son: Louis Kivo, his mother: Ellena Kivo, his brother: Joshua & Jackie Kivo, and nephews: Beckett DiGuilio, Conner and Caiden Conte, his extended family: Jocelyne Lopez, Juan & Jackie Lopez, John, Selena, Jacob Itziri, Angel, Ethan, & Angie Lopez, Steven, Nadine, Jay, Holly, & Jody Guthrie, James, Brandon, Trevor, & Spencer Guthrie, Amy & Zach Guthrie, Mark Guthrie Jr., Ray, Danella, & Cyaira Lugo, Ryan and Brandon Rivera, Denise, John, Angie, & Allysa Hayman, Hector, Rita, Manuel, David, & Cylina Cruz, and Wendy, Reina, & Rene Luna.

Jarrett graduated from the American Academy of Art in Chicago and worked as a graphic designer for O'Hara's Sports in Munster. Jarrett was an extremely talented artist whose passions included graffiti art, screen printing, painting, sketching, photography, poetic and lyrical writing,  and performing. Jarrett was an avid collector of video games, comic books, and movies. He was a loving and devoted father, spending time with his son creating art, skateboarding, tubing, kayaking, hiking, and wandering in nature.

A celebration of Jarrett's life will take place Monday, January 30, from 3:00-7:00 PM at the Schroeder-Lauer Funeral Home at 3227 Ridge Rd, Lansing, IL. Help the family to celebrate Jarrett by bringing your favorite memories and stories to share.
