Jarod T. Gertonson, age 21 of Lansing, Illinois passed away Wednesday, November 10, 2021. He is survived by his loving parents, Scott and Dawn (nee Costello) Gertonson, cherished sister Skylar, maternal grandparents; Tom and Diane (nee Wheeler) Costello, Paternal grandparents; late Robert Gertonson and Sharon (nee Kinzel) Gertonson, fond uncles; Mark Gertonson, Brent David, Johnny Jaworski, Tony and Eddie Costello, loving aunts; Andrea Gertonson, Jen Jaworski, Catherine David and many loving cousins and extended family.

A Celebration Of Life for Jarod will be held on Saturday, November 13, 2021 at 6:00 PM at the Schroeder-Lauer Funeral Home, 3227 Ridge Road, Lansing, Illinois with Deacon Jim Renwick officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 2:00 PM until time of service. Cremation to follow.

Jarod was a proud United States Marine, he was a fan of the Chicago White Sox and Chicago Bears, he loved animals and had many friends playing on PC games. He was employed at White Cap Supply and enjoyed working with Ben. He loved fishing with Tristyn and loved watching Harry Potter with his mother. Anime with his sister especially Dragon Ball. Jarod always had a loving and caring soul, everyone he met was a friend he never met anyone he didn't like he always made people feel happy. He was loved by many and he will be truly missed.
