James Volkman, age 94 of Lansing, IL, passed away on Sunday, July 18, 2021. He is survived by his son: Karl Volkman of South Carolina; and niece Kyle Iverson. Mr. Volkman was preceded in death in 1992 by his beloved wife, Eleanor (nee Dryja) Volkman, and parents: Hugo and Thelma (nee Schultz) Volkman. Mr. Volkman will be cremated and laid to rest in Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, IL on August 16, 2021.

A member of the Greatest Generation, Mr. Volkman honorably served our country during WWII in the US Army. He worked as a steamfitter for Local 597. Schroeder-Lauer Funeral Home in Lansing, IL have been entrusted with Mr. Volkman's arrangements.
