James Joseph Bucki, age 65, of Lansing, passed away unexpectedly on October 22, 2026.

Jim is the loving husband to Kathy Bucki; devoted son to Edward F. and the late Ann Bucki; awesome brother to Bill (Nancy) Bucki and Bob Bucki; uncle to Mary (Tom Rivera) Bucki and Tom Bucki; nephew to many aunts and uncles including his great-aunt Sister Mary Tarcisia Bucki Order of St. Francis.

Jim is a St. Gregory High School graduate. He then graduated with a Bachelors of Arts from North Park University. He faithfully worked with the State of Illinois in the Public Aid Office. Jim was a loyal Cubs fan and avid Bears fan. He will be missed by all who loved him.

As per Jim's wishes, private family services will be conducted and his cremated remains will be laid to rest next to his mother at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery
