James "Jim" R. Bastion, age 64 of Calumet City, IL, passed away on Saturday, February 5, 2022. He is survived by his beloved wife: Cindy (nee Stephens); daughter: Stephanie (Robert) Short and son: Cale (Jackie) Bastion. Also surviving is his beloved granddaughter: Madison (Bug, as Jim called her); sister: Lynda Durand; Uncle and Aunt Lyle and Jean Kerr; and numerous nieces and nephews who loved him a lot. Jim was preceded in death by his parents: Edson and Lois Bastion.

Friends are invited to visit with Jim's family on Saturday, February 12 from 12:00 noon to 5:00 PM, with the funeral service beginning at 4:00 PM.

Jim was a maintenance mechanic for Dart Container (formerly Solo Cup). He loved reading, Christmas, listening to music – specifically hymns, southern gospel, and Led Zeppelin – and talking to people about God. Jim was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend. He will be missed by everyone who knew him.
