Gibson "Gib" L. Hicks, age 31 of Lansing, Illinois, passed away peacefully Friday, October 22, 2021. Gib is survived by his loving parents Jeffrey and Cynthia Hicks, sister-in-law Mechelle Hicks, nephew Connor Hicks and nieces Kendall and Maddie Hicks. Gib was preceded in death by loving older brother Jeffrey Paul Hicks and his cherished grandparents.

A Celebration Of Life for Gib will be held on Wednesday, October 27, 2021 at the Schroeder-Lauer Funeral Home, 3227 Ridge Road, Lansing, Illinois from 4:00 to 8:00 PM with a remembrance and sharing beginning at 7:00 PM in the chapel. Cremation to follow. Gib will be laid to rest at German Methodist Cemetery in Cedar Lake, Indiana at a later date.

Gib was a loving and caring son, brother, uncle and friend. He truly was a master at the guitar and truly loved playing and writing his own music. He loved history and loved his Golden Retrievers. He also enjoyed watching MMA Wresting. He was a free spirited person and always had love in his heart. He was loved by many and he will be truly missed.
