Gertrude Ruth Bult (nee Kats), 94, of Munster, IN peacefully went to be with the Lord Jesus on March 27, 2022 at Hartsfield Village Assisted Living. Ruth was born July 10, 1927 and was married to Simon Bult on September 18, 1947. She is survived by four daughters: Carol (Charles Jr, deceased) Lair; Patricia (Paul) Kiel; Ruth (Jack) Vieira; and Judy (Daniel) Strom; 11 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren. Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Simon; daughter, Nancy Scholte; son-in-law John Scholte; son-in-law Charles A. Lair, Jr, great grandson, Marty Muth Jr.; and her 8 brothers and 3 sisters.

Funeral services for Gertrude will be held on Sunday, April 3, 2022 at 4:00 PM at the Schroeder-Lauer Funeral Home, 3227 Ridge Road., Lansing, IL. The family will welcome friends from 1:00 PM until time of service.  A private burial with the family will take place Monday, April 4, 2022 at Oak Ridge Cemetery, Lansing, Illinois. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Our Daily Bread Ministries, P.O. Box 2222, Grand Rapids, MI 49501 or the American Lung Cancer Society. Gertrude was loved by many and will be truly missed.
