George Wieczorek age 82 of Lansing, IL passed away peacefully Saturday evening of April 29, 2023. George is survived by his loving wife of 56 years Cindy (nee Cichon). He leaves behind his sons Jeff, James (Janet) and Jeremy. Survived by his grandsons Jimmy and Leo. Sister Roseann Warner. Sister-in-law Sue Majszak and numerous nieces and nephews. George is preceded in death by his parents Chester and Stephanie, in-laws Leo and Mary Cichon, sister-in law Mary Ellen Kuntarich, brother-in-laws Mike Majszak and Ron Warner.

George was born in East Chicago, IN and grew up in Griffith, IN. He was a 1958 graduate of Griffith High School and graduated from Calumet College of St. Joseph, Whiting, IN. George served in the Army for four years and was stationed in Okinawa, Japan. George was an entrepreneur and owned and operated Old Time Rock N' Hole Indoor Mini Golf, in Crown Point, IN and Vegas Party Supplies in Schererville, IN.

He was a proud member of the Knights of Columbus and Lansing Country Club. He also was a baseball coach for numerous Lansing Little League teams. George enjoyed listening to Elvis and the oldies. He was an avid Notre Dame and Chicago Cubs fan. George had a wonderful sense of humor and everyone enjoyed his quick wit and friendly demeanor. Services for George will be held privately and he'll be deeply missed and never forgotten by all who knew him.
